The redevelopment of the former Auburn Trucking facility will bring new housing to the much-desired South Boston area. The existing building was demolished to accommodate the new 30,000 SF 4-floor mixed-use building for commercial/residential use. There will be 18 residential condominium units, two of which will be affordable as required by the Boston Redevelopment Authority.
In addition there will be commercial restaurant space on the first floor and basement with a portion of the upper floors to be office space. A below-grade parking garage for 27 cars will also be part of the building, utilizing mechanical car lifts to economize the space available.
