PMC provided cost estimating for the first new housing project at UMass Lowell in two decades. This 148,000 sf building serves as state of the art housing for 472 students in four and six bed suites. Each residential floor offers two common kitchen/lounge areas, two quiet study rooms and a group study room. The ground floor provides a common area with a café as well as a multi-purpose room. A courtyard outside the brick, U-shaped building faces the Campus Recreation Center and includes a seating area for outdoor events.
The building was constructed in part with recycled materials and with the goal of maximum energy efficiency throughout.
