PM&C, serving as the developer’s Owner’s Project Manager, was highly instrumental during the initial phase of this massive development project at Revere Beach. From early environmental permitting, our role entailed extensive interaction with local, state and federal officials as well as coordination between the Eurovest Development team and a range of public agencies, including the City of Revere, the MBTA, the Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) and the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development (EOHED).
During our role as OPM, our services ranged from making the case for zoning changes and the creation of a zoning overlay district to coordinating the preparation of grant applications, providing support for equity investor solicitations and directing the work of more than a dozen consultants. As the project moved forward, we oversaw the construction of a new parking garage for 1300 cars, including a new entrance to the existing Wonderland T-station, a pedestrian bridge and plaza extension from the T-station to Revere Beach, as well as extensive utility infrastructure relocation and site work.
The Revere Beach modernization project, when complete, will have transformed 8.8 acres of underutilized urban land into a model mixed-use, transit oriented development with 1.3 million sf of occupied facilities. This will include a first-class hotel and office building, 900 units of housing, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, all interconnected with broad public spaces. The next phase, a private apartment complex, broke ground in 2014.
